Reba Gets Sued

Reba Gets Sued

Reba has found herself in the middle of a lawsuit after a worker was injured while getting her stage ready back in 2011.

Back in 2011, Reba was set to perform at West Virginia's Big Sandy Superstore Arena. While getting the stage ready, a worker was up on a lift trying to untangle lights when one of the lighting fixtures gave way and fell, striking another worker on the head.

That injured worker, Ronald St. Clair, filed a lawsuit in 2013 against Reba and concert promoter AEG for his injuries, which he claims have kept him in pain and unable to work.

But here's the twist, AEG has now filed a counter-suit against Reba saying that they're not responsible because Reba's contract states that she will pay for any damage her employees do. Reba responded by saying that the worker who caused the light to fall wasn't her employee and she shouldn't be held responsible. She asked the judge to dismiss the case, but if damages are awarded then she wants AEG to be responsible for paying.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes.
