How does a 21-hour workweek sound to you? Too good to be true?

It probably is, but one group of people is making a pretty good argument for cutting the typical 40-hour workweek almost in half.

The New Economics Foundation, a British think tank, believes that cutting the workweek is necessary for our personal lives and would also benefit the economy.

They argue that people are stuck in a cycle of work and consumption where they live to work, work to earn, and earn to consume things.

They say a 21-hour workweek will re-distribute paid work and make for a more equal society, while giving everyone an opportunity to do the things we value but rarely have time to do like care for our family, travel, read or continue learning.
