Journey is one of the most popular American rock bands of all time, creating some of the best-known songs in modern music. Since the group's formation in 1973, the band has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 Gold and Platinum albums. The band's Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times Platinum, bringing Journey into the elite club of Diamond-certified album holders. Journey is re-energized for 2011 as they prepare to unleash their latest album of brand new material, Eclipse
Alan Jackson is one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters in music. He is in the elite company of Paul McCartney and John Lennon among songwriters who’ve written more than 20 songs that they’ve recorded and taken to the top of the charts. Jackson is one of the 10 best-selling artists since the inception of SoundScan, ranking alongside the likes of Eminem and Metallica.
Yoakam's latest Warner Bros. album, 3 Pears, exemplifies his ability to incorporate multiple, competing influences into a piece of cohesive art. It balances his country core with a fiercely independent embrace of rock, Americana, pop and soul. It blends Yoakam's respect for his musical predecessors with the collaborative assistance of modern singer/songwriter Beck, who co-produced two tracks, and current rocker Kid Rock, who co-wrote the hooky opener, "Take Hold Of My Hand."
Luke Bryan is a superstar in the making and the career growth from his first to his second to his third studio album, "Tailgates & Tanlines," is the proof. The Georgian who burst on the scene in 2007 with his unique blend of down-home accessibility, movie star good looks and relatable lyrics, is set to explode in a major way. The new album debuted at #1 on the country chart and #2 on the pop charts, making it the second highest debut at that time of 2011 for a country artist.
With seven platinum-selling albums, 13 chart-topping songs, sales of more than 21 million and more than 40 major awards behind them, new Grand Ole Opry inductees Rascal Flatts are poised to top the charts once again with the release of their eighth studio album, Changed. The trio of Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney has undergone something of a rebirth after finding both a new label home and a new management team in the past couple years.
Multi-platinum Georgia-bred country superstar Jason Aldean likes to do things his way – and his way works. The singer has had massive success with his first four albums – his most recent of which, My Kinda Party, became the top-selling country album of 2011 and won Album of the Year at the 2011 CMAs. Aldean is poised to top the charts yet again with his fifth album, Night Train, led by successful first single “Take A Little Ride.”
Toby Keith spent the '90s as a solid, workmanlike country star who met with considerable chart success, yet never quite broke free of the neo-traditionalist pack to become a household name like Garth Brooks or Alan Jackson. That all changed in 2002 when he recorded "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," a response to September 11 that became one of country's most highly charged political statements since Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee."
Cheyenne's world-class rodeo is truly the Daddy of 'em All. Known for its fast pace and large number of contestants, the CFD rodeo ensures that visitors see more rodeo action - three sections of bulls, and two sections of saddle and bareback broncs daily - than they can see at any other rodeo. Every rodeo event is performed in each of the nine daily performances, so any day at Cheyenne Frontier Days is a good day to see an exciting, action-packed rodeo.
