Have you ever bought a lottery ticket and forgot to check the numbers? It's easy to do. Your odds of winning are so low you never really think you have a shot in the first place, but you fall for the old line "if you don't play you can't win." A California woman almost missed out on $23 Million because she forgot to check her ticket...even worse, HER $23 MILLION DOLLAR TICKET WAS IN HER CAR THE WHOLE TIME." Earlier this week lottery officials released a picture of the person they thought may have won. The woman's daughter recognized her and told her to find and check that ticket. Dave in a Nutshell Wow, a bio section. They want me to be able to sum up my whole life in this one little section. Sad part is I won't even use all the space they have allowed. My love of Country Music comes from my father. Who, despite my many years in Country Radio, is still the expert in my family. The song he used to hook me, was George Jones "The One I Loved Back Then." However, I was just beginning to learn to drive so I didn't understand why anyone would choose a woman over a Corvette. I get it now. It's always nice to give Dad a call when I meet one of his favorites. I'm not usually a quiet guy, but found myself speechless when I got the opportunity to meet Don Williams. Ronnie Milsap was just incredible, and Randy Travis is very talkative, especially if you ask him about meeting Andy Griffith (remember the two Matlock appearances.) Outside of the radio station you may find me in a lot of different places. I'm usually knee deep in a home improvement project (or two.) I'm not an expert in any way shape or form, but I'm willing to try most anything before I call in the professionals (or something goes BOOM!). I love football, both college and pros. I have a dirt bike and golf clubs, but don't use them as much as I'd like. I guess we all have things that we can't get to.
